File Description:

DUHS Infection Prevention teams have updated their guidance for the duration of quarantine for admitted patients with known exposure to COVID-19, decreasing from 10 days to 7 days with negative COVID test on day 6.

Patients who are identified to have a high-risk exposure (e.g., exposed to a COVID positive visitor; exposed to a COVID positive patient in a congregate setting) should be placed on droplet and contact isolation.  Teams should contact their infection prevention partners to determine timing of post-exposure testing.  Please review the updated COVID-19 Testing FAQ document for additional guidance related to COVID testing.
